My client is a leading UK insurer. They are currently looking to recruit a regulatory specialist to be based at their Edinburgh HQ. you will; monitor and analyse technical developments from industry bodies eg FSA, provide guidance and technical accounting assistance. The role will involve monitoring industry developments, assessing and making recommendation to senior committee members, communicating the impact of changes across the business, coaching member of the finance team and recommending and facilitating training sessions and raising risks and issues with senior management. You will be a qualified accountant with the relevant insurance industry experience.
