Our Client is one of the largest integrated property services businesses in the United Kingdom. Mortgages Direct operates out of their 220 Estate Agency branches selling mortgages, life/critical illness/income protection and general insurance products to their Estate Agency clients. They are currently looking for Mortgages Consultant to be based at Their Hertfordshire offices in Stevenage and Milton Keynes.
Mortgage Consultants will need to be CeMap qualified.
Basic salary will be £16-18K to start plus car or car allowance.
Commissions will take earnings in excess of £35k in first year increasing to around £50k+ due to uncapped earnings.
Hours of work are Monday – Saturday, with a day off in the week Mon- Fri 8.30 to 7.30 and Sats 9-4pm.
Main Objectives:
- Motivate Estate Agency sales team to pass leads and make first appointments.
- To make sure all first appointments result in an agreement of the next steps (i.e. mortgage certificate, agreement in principle, further appointment booked) and clients are followed up on a regular basis.
- To achieve the agreed first appointment levels and resulting Mortgage, Life, General Insurance, Broker Fee and Legal Services sales and penetration levels.
- First & second appointments to follow the standard sales process.
- To provide a quality service to clients.
- Responsible for offering quality advice to clients.
- To operate within the various regulatory and T & C requirements.
- To embrace technology and process changes in order to improve profitability and customer service.
Knowledge, Qualification and Experience Required:
- Understanding of the mortgage market
- A successful sales background
- CeMAP 3 qualification
- Understanding of Estate Agency
- Excellent communication skills, particularly on the telephone, and customer awareness
- Knowledge of the T & C scheme
- Understanding of Compliance Requirements
Skills Required:
- Numeracy and computer skills
- Able to demonstrate excellent inter-personal communication skills
- Able to demonstrate excellent sales skills
- Demonstrate closing skill techniques
- Following laid-down administration procedures
- Motivate Estate Agency sales team to pass leads
