Client Financial Support based in Hoddesdon, Herts

Client Financial Support based in Finance department reporting to Head of Client Financial Support.
Key Tasks: While the tasks below are the scope of the department, they are not necessarily the complete duties of the individual.
Assisting Property Managers with accounting queries and pass on this knowledge so that PM's can become more self sufficient in dealing with queries. Assist PM's in the creation of RMC budgets and creation of management charges for RMC's. General ledger journal posting for RMC's. Liaise with external accountants over service charge accounts.
Manage the administration of lost properties, including production of fund reconciliations, handover to third party accountants/new agents. Manage the escalation queue process for banking. Other ad hoc tasks as required.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
The jobholder should be a trainee accountant, currently studying for a recognised qualification. Awareness and understanding of common relevant accounting conventions is required. Good analytical and numeracy skills will be necessary as will good PC literacy, including use of excel spreadsheets. The jobholder will preferably have at least 2 years experience in a similar management accounting role. It would be beneficial if the jobholder has experience of high volume transaction processing. It is specifically not necessary to have experience of the property management industry.
