JOB TITLE: ASSISTANT BRANCH SALES MANAGER
REPORTS TO: BRANCH SALES MANAGER

OBJECTIVES
To deputise for and assist the Branch Manager in the operation of the branch, taking responsibility for the day to day administration, ensuring standards of service operation are maintained in accordance with policy, standards and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
The achievement of Direct mortgage business targets and support of the Branch Manager in the achievement of other business targets.
Providing guidance and support for members of the branch team in day to day matters (e.g. product details, Society’s administration policy and procedures).
Provision of information to the Branch Manager in respect of individual; objective setting as part of PPD).
Organise, in conjunction with the manager, the recruitment and selection of new members of staff.
Assessment of staff performance and any subsequent disciplinary matters.
Development and implementation of the branch business plan to achieve business objectives.
Provision of information and guidance to existing customers in relation to the Society’s products and services.
Conduct mortgage interviews, investigate loan applications and establish the lending risk.
To service the intermediary market (e.g. preparation of mailings, procreation fee payments).
Develop and maintain liaison with intermediaries (e.g. potential mortgage application evaluation).
Preparation of local management information (e.g. investment forward dated return, excess cash).
Ensure the maintenance of branch storage of records in line with current policy.
