Applicants must possess knowledge of Microsoft Office/Project 2000 and the project development life-cycle plus typical problems associated with the implementation of Business Transformation projects. You will need to be familiar with methods and techniques for reporting progress of an activity against plan (e.g. earned value reporting) and automated tools to assist in the project management process, by automating mechanical tasks such as scheduling, resource balancing and time capture; e.g. Microsoft Project 2000; You will possess demonstrable ability to judge relative importance of issues, milestones etc. in order to summarise plans and progress effectively. The application of quality standards, effective communication skills, expertise in establishing relationships and ability to challenge project / programme managers when required in order to improve the quality of planning and reporting are all essential attributes. Previous project or project/programme office experience required.
