Our client is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Britannia Building Society Group. It operates in modern offices in Plymouth city centre employing over 200 experienced and well trained staff.
The purpose of this role is to manage the customer relationship on a day-to-day basis. You will investigate and efficiently manage arrears cases (early delinquency through to possession) in order to maximise recoveries and obtain by encouragement/persuasion retrieval of monies due.
The suitable candidate will need excellent communication skills and be confident in dealing with customers over the telephone. You will need to learn about our client's procedures and understand the importance of accuracy in both written and verbal communication, due to the high standards and regulation requirements of the company. The successful candidate will show a keenness to resolve customer queries, sometimes of a complex nature.
Duties may include:
* Maximising recoveries by actioning in a cost effective manner those accounts in arrears.
* Communicating effectively by telephone and/or correspondence in an efficient and professional manner.
* Achieving set team and divisional targets whilst maintaining high standards of quality output.
* Communicating well with litigation solicitors, counsellors and other 3rd parties to establish a good working relationship.
* Taking personal responsibility for own allocated work split and providing an excellent service both to the borrower and the Lender.
* Providing assistance to the Manager and other members of the team depending on workloads and priorities.
* Maintaining and producing timely and accurate management statistics.
In addition to the basic salary for this role and the other benefits, our client also offers a discretionary performance related bonus. Over the last 3 years staff members have received on average an amount excessive of 10% of their basic salary.
For this role, full-time, part-time or job share will be considered. Part time hours will be for example 2 or 3 full days or 5 mornings/afternoons. Our full time working week is 37.5 hours Monday - Friday.
