Objectives
To promote and sell the Society’s products and services to customers and potential customers in person, using the telephone and in writing
To generate ancillary income by identifying and generating sales leads
Specific Responsibilities Include
Demonstrate at all times the “Sales Through Service” skills
Maintain a knowledge of the Society’s products and services and their practical application to customer needs and requirements
Identify opportunities to sell and achieve sales of the Society’s products and services in conformity with personal targets allocated
Identify needs and gain commitment from potential customers to an appointment with a consultant in conformity with personal targets allocated
Provide a prompt and helpful service to visitors to the branch and to those calling by telephone
Record details of all contacts with potential customers on the tracking system and follow up those contacts at the prescribed intervals
Make outbound telephone calls and participate actively in calling campaigns
Carry out all cashiering functions when assigned to counter duties
Handle enquiries from current or prospective introducers of mortgage business, progress chase and report progress to them as necessary
“Package” introduced mortgage applications
Carry out co-operatively any tasks assigned by the Manager or Assistant Manager and at all times work as a team member to ensure the smooth running of the branch
Maintain full competence to use computer systems and applications in the branch
In all duties, comply will relevant legislation and Society policy including branch best practice
Maintain an awareness of security issues and the working of security devices in the branch and keep safely any keys assigned
Competencies Include
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal, written and numeracy
Ability to engage with customers and demonstrate listening skills and personal interest
Ability to handle personal targets and to demonstrate drive and initiative to attain them
Ability to work within and contribute to the success of a sales team
Confident and positive approach to the concept of sales through service
Computer literate
Positive and enthusiastic
Responsible and prepared to take ownership
Hours of work are Mon-Fri 9.00 am - 5.30 pm 1 in 2 Saturdays 9am-12pm
Salary: £15413 basic - £3100 (OTE)
