Purpose: To lead and develops a sales team to meet all business objectives for sales, customer service and compliance in a retail branch.

KEY MEASURES

q Sales performance of branch against agreed targets
q Development of team and team members
q Effective communication of business objectives to staff
q Quality of administrative standards (including audit)
q Quality of branch presentation standards
q Quality of internal and external customer satisfaction
q Effective community development within area
q Compliance with Society, industry and statutory requirements
q Effective cost control.


KEY ACTIVITIES

Generic

§ Meeting sales objectives by effectively selling to customer needs for mortgages, savings, investment, insurance and protection products
§ Developing a strong working relationship with the financial planner to deliver customer referrals and regulated sales
§ Identifying improvements to customer service and efficiency through constant review of work processes and team empowerment
§ Assuring cost effectiveness of the branch through inputs in the budgeting process and subsequent management within approved budgets
§ Assuring individual performance through consistent application of the Society's performance management policies and procedures (e.g. appraisals, disciplinary) and the exercise of leadership
§ Improving the quality of staff in the branch through consistent implementation of the Society's policies on recruitment, development and career management
§ Improving the quality of service through regular contact with customers (internal or external) to identify issues and opportunities
§ Maintain awareness of the regulatory requirements (as defined in the Society’s Compliance Policy) affecting the Society's (and, where relevant, its subsidiaries') business
§ Understand the regulatory requirements relevant to their areas of responsibility and manage these areas to achieve compliance with the requirements
§ Ensure that staff maintain awareness and comply with relevant regulatory requirements
