Internal Audit and Forex Manager – Chinese Mandarin Speaking

Our client is the leading manufacturer and service provider supplying underground pipeline products and services to pipeline contractors and utilities across the UK and overseas. They are looking Internal Audit and Forex Manager.
This newly created position offers an exceptional opportunity to join an innovative international manufacturing and distribution Company, mainly operating in the polyethylene market. This highly commercial and pivotal role will help the Group to protect and develop its home market divisions and its export joint ventures and subsidiaries.
Reporting to the Group CFO, you will be experienced in auditing manufacturing and distribution entities, including the Far East. You will be able to communicate findings and practical recommendations both verbally and in written form with management, to reduce risk and add value. Strong English and Chinese Mandarin communication skills are essential with good negotiation skills and a positive team work ethic. Knowledge and familiarity with PRC GAAP requirements for FIE's will be an advantage.
Main tasks will include:
a) China, incl: monthly accounts receipt and interpretations audit, tax position advice on process control, manufacturing.
b) Australia. Internal audit twice a year. Receive and interpret bi-annual accounts.
c) Malaysia. Internal audit once a year. Receive and interpret bi-annual accounts.
d) Chile. Receive and interpret monthly accounts. 4 weeks pa.
e) Polska and Romania – Internal audit twice a year. Receive and interpret monthly accounts.
f) UK internal audit throughout the year. Integrity checks and Ad-hoc projects.
This position is based in Chesterfield, England, but will involve 20 weeks travel per annum, including at least 10 weeks per annum in PRC. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with university degree (or equivalent), preferably in engineering or accounting. Managerial experience, preferably in an international business, would also be advantageous.
