Assistant Accountant role assisting in provision of comprehensive accountancy service to local authority, will involve day to day monitoring of ledgers. This will include reconciliation, preparation of budgets, closure of accounts, completion of grant claims, and ensuring that accounting entries are processed accurately and on time. Candidates will be required for an interim period of at least 6 months.<br>Assistant Accountant post will ideally suit applicants currently studying for AAT or other accountancy qualification. Must be able to demonstrate sound IT skills and have experience of working in a financial environment. Experience of accountancy within this sector is also essential. Good communication and organisational skills are required for assistant position.<br>Large local Government authority with good progression opportunities. Working in a friendly and open team, with good support structure and potential for growth.
