Our client, a major financial services organisation based in Glasgow are currently recruiting for an Analyst/Associate to work within their Fixed Income Division (FID), Customer Service Group. The FID Customer Service Group supports a wide range of products/markets– this extends to Fixed Income cash products traded via Euroclear, Government bonds, Japanese Government Bonds, US products and selected convertible bonds. The group is responsible for all client-related activity from the point of trading through to settlement.
You will be primarily responsible for the completion of daily processing tasks, working as part of a team of 4. You will investigate and resolve issues to ensure trade booking, confirmation processing and trade settlement all flow smoothly. From time to time you may also be asked to participate/ lead projects and change initiatives, where you will represent the Client Services Group, ensuring our requirements are discussed and prioritised.
The ideal candidate should have an understanding of Fixed Income products, although this is not essential. Self motivated, conscientious, for example, in seeing issues to a thorough conclusion and to the satisfaction of all parties. Team player. Customer focused. Experience in the financial services industry, preferably with some knowledge of cash equities/ global markets. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels. You should also have strong analytical, numerical and inter personal skills. Prioritisation and time management skills. Problem solving through initiative and tenacity.
