Our client, a global investment management organisation in Edinburgh, are currently looking for Fund Accountants for a 6 month contract. The role will involve performing all daily work and reconciliations within policy and procedural guidelines, informing appropriate Supervisor of accounting or system related issues occuring within assigned funds and obtaining complete understanding of daily workflow. On a monthly basis you will be required to prepare month end fund files and assist in the preparation of month end department statistics. Other responsibilities include volunteering for and participating in department projects and actively participating in Performance Management Program and Training and Development. Ideally you will have a degree in Accountancy or Business or possesses a professional qualification in Finance, Accounting or Management. It is preferred that you have one to three years of mutual fund accounting or fund administration experience with automated financial systems financial systems, including general ledger. A working knowledge of mutual fund industry regulations is preferred.
