The Company: Part of the General Motors group this trusted global company has a solid reputation for building high specification and good value cars - which it has been doing for in-excess of 90 years. Their brilliantly engineered range of cars now includes a newly launched range of small and medium-sized economical models.
The Role: You will assist in the preparation and filing of the monthly result, forecast and annual plan and will provide financial support to the sales and marketing departments when assessing new vehicle pricing proposals and programmes. Additionally you will maintain the management information database containing vehicle profitability information.
Responsibilities include:
· Complete vehicle related nominal ledger month end posting adjustments
· Update and maintain trial balance report submission model
· Provide variance analysis of the monthly vehicle result to forecast
· Maintain and update the vehicle forecasting model for inclusion in the monthly forecast
· Provide analysis of changes in monthly vehicle forecast from previous round and against plan
· Maintain and update the vehicle forecasting model for inclusion in the plan
· Assess the viability of pricing proposals and programmes as presented by Sales and Marketing team
· Ensure approved proposals have the appropriate level of sign off and a file is maintained for audit purposes
· Ensure timely updates are made to self bill database used by purchase ledger to make retailer payments
· Retailer/field operations payment query handling
· Supply IS with the latest vehicle cost of sales information where appropriate
· Update regularly and maintain the new vehicle registration database
· Update monthly the vehicle profitability database
· Reconcile and cleanse relevant Balance sheet accounts
· Liase with internal and external auditors
About You: Ideally you will be CIMA qualified with 2 years PQE, will have commercial experience and possess a knowledge of management reporting, analysis and advanced financial modeling. You are capable of multi-tasking, can build a professional rapport and relationships whilst adopting a continuous improvement mindset.
