My client is a financial services organisation who are looking for a Customer Intelligence Analyst to work within their team. The team are responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring statistical models and segmentations developed using data from their extensive data warehouse. The data can be accessed using SQL or SAS and the models are developed using SAS or SAS Enterprise Miner and using techniques such as logistic regression, decision trees (CHAID etc) or neural networks.
Experience in these areas is not absolutely essential and will depend on experience but a clear understanding of database marketing and the application of targeting techniques. Experience of credit card data would be ideal and credit risk experience would also be interesting.
The candidate needs to be of graduate calibre and my client would consider a range of experience levels from "junior" (fresh graduate ideally with some relevant experience to speak of) to "senior" (someone with up to five years or more experience in a relevant role).
The techincal Profile for this role is:
Technical Profile:
• Graduate calibre (in a numerical/statistical discipline)
• Experience of analysing large customer databases using RDMS technology for the provision of customer insight
• Knowledge of the appropriate programming languages either SQL or SAS and experience of using SAS Enterprise Miner (or equivalent) software
• Core competence in other customer insight tools such as OLAP, GIS and campaign management software an advantage
• A sound understanding of the principles of Customer Relationship Management/Customer Value Management and their application
• Experienced in developing, implementing and applying customer segmentations, predictive modelling and other data mining techniques
• An understanding of lifestyle and geodemographic data and its applications
• A sound knowledge of appropriate legislative framework e.g. Data Protection Act.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, particularly in presenting complex analytical results to non-technical colleagues at all levels
• A Proactive and enthusiastic team player with a focus on delivery
• The ability to deliver multiple concurrent projects to tight deadlines and under pressure
• Knowledge of credit and credit card data and industry awareness an advantage
