Our client is a young and growing company with an annual turnover approaching £1.5m, making traditionally-jointed oak outbuildings. They have a 'work hard, play hard' philosophy and truly believe in rewarding success.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the development of new business revenue through the sale of oak framed buildings, primarily to the private individual, by following up the leads generated from a national advertising campaign and country fairs, with full responsibility for closing the sale and overseeing the process through to final payment.
Successful candidates must have at least three years' new business development experience, ideally within the service sector, field sales and territory management experience and a full, clean UK driving licence. Sales experience is significantly more important than knowledge of the oak framing sector. The successful applicant must be pro-active, self motivated, organised, with good communication skills and able to deal with clients. This is a home based position with client visits, attendance will be required at least once per month at the Head Office in Hereford.
Your accountabilities will include:
* The following up of all leads generated through national advertising campaign, within the defined territory
* Attendance at trade shows throughout the year and the following up of all leads generated within the defined territory
* The self generation of leads within the area
* Attending new business meetings with the clients to sell the appropriate product and service, and to conduct a brief site survey for Head Office
* The preparation and follow up of all quotations
* Continued contact with the client throughout the process
* The submission of planning applications on behalf of clients, where appropriate
* Close liaison with the Project Manager and the provision of all applicable information post sale
* Attendance to head office for sales meetings on a monthly basis, and at other times for training or team events
* Site visits to review site conditions for groundworks, access prior to sale
