Electronics medical devices company requires a Desktop/Support Analyst.
Responsible for providing desktop/LAN support to Cochlear staff in Cochlear's UK office, but also to visitors from other Cochlear entities and actively assisting the European client support team in supporting the other European Cochlear entities. This should provide a robust IT environment for the business to run in all offices.
Following agreed procedures, respond to requests for assistance by providing information to enable users to resolve their problems in close cooperation with the European support team located in Basel.
Ensuring all hardware/software installations and routine upgrades are implemented according to Service Level Agreements.
Providing the businesses with a professional service by ensuring requests are recorded, analyzed and most of them resolved, the remainder escalated to next levels of support and incidents and their solution are followed up in time (change/configuration control). Consider costs versus benefits and suggest ways of improvement (pro active).
Providing support to IT projects including installations, software rollouts and upgrades.
Change daily / weekly back-up tapes in Weybridge and advise mobile users how to backup their data and how to restore their data in case of an emergency
