My clients; a growing and successful renewable energy consultancy seek a highly competent and qualified professional with 10-15 years industry/commercial experience that will have developed a very good understanding of the UK network and regulatory framework.
Must be experienced with current legislation; must be chartered; must have high level of technical ability; must be able to liase at senior level both internally and with clients on a technical and personal level.
The ideal candidate will be able to:
· Assess grid connection options from single line diagrams and seven year statements
· Negotiate grid connection agreements and quotations
· Assess the electrical design of windfarms from tenders
· Assess compliance with grid codes
· Calculate electrical losses
· Negotiate with Ofgem with respect to connection quotations
· Assess the likely costs for connections
· Trouble shoot HV(LV) issues on operational wind farms
· Carry out HV switching operations on operational windfarms
· Bring other expertise for example protection, electronics or HV maintenance.
We do not expect the successful applicant to have all the above skills but do expect demonstrable potential to progress to all. You will have mature IT skills and carry a full UK driving licence.
It is expected that the winning candidate will be based within commuting distance of my clients' offices and therefor a relocation package is available.
