Technical Manager to work for a company specialising in airbase operations management systems, i.e. Information services and Mission Planning for military vehicles to Network Monitoring and Management Systems. You will be responsible for providing the main Engineering interface to the Project Manager. The role will address management of Technical risk, interface to the Customer's Technical representative, identification of additional technical enhancement proposals, manage phase reviews. You must have experience in customer, partner and / or supplier relationships in all phases of the procurement and development of complex software-intensive systems; product-oriented systems / software design and development; detailed understanding and experience of the full development lifecycle and associated work products (e.g. Mil Std 498), Requirements development and management, CM, DM and associated issues, Scenario based modelling, (UML), systems development and associated tools (e.g. DOORS, Rose, Rhapsody}, definition of processes and procedures and tailoring of processes for project development, military system development, avionics, tactical data links, Link 16, Network Management and Mission Planning Systems. You must have 8-15 years experience working on SW intensive programmes in a systems or software engineering role and be BSc / MSc qualified in relevant engineering discipline. This is a permanent role paying to GBP55k.
