Energy Supplies Project Manager
Oxfordshire, Wantage
£ Negotiable + bonus, company pension scheme
Our client is a UK market leader in the provision of the full spectrum of Energy cost management solutions. The supply services division based at head office in Wantage, Oxon, manages clients energy costs by purchasing energy effectively, validating utility invoices, monitoring consumption and cost history and providing energy reporting facilities online.
The New Connections department mange the process of requesting and arranging new electricity and gas supplies to premises to ensure the services are installed and energized to cost and timescales required by the customer for both new construction projects and upgraded of supplies to existing buildings.
This role involves liaising with clients, energy suppliers, construction project managers and electrical and mechanical contractors, raising applications for new and upgraded electricity and gas supplies, tracking progress of construction and service installation work and ensuring complex projects involving many parties are completed to often very tight timescales.
The ability to communicate effectively by phone is a pre-requisite as this is a primarily office based role (but can also include working from home on a part-time basis).
Energy industry experience, particularly in the electricity distribution / transportation or metering functions would be of a significant advantage, as would knowledge of the new connections process and general commercial construction project management techniques. Alternatively somebody with an Plumbing / Electrician / Electrical Engineering background would be suitable for this role.
