Development And Product Support Engineer, Oxon, instrumentation, vacuum, optics, spectroscopy, cryogenics
My client wish to recruit a Development and Product Support Engineer to work within their Product Development Group.
The job includes involvement in all aspects of the development Product Life Cycle.
You should have a first degree or equivalent experience and preferably a post-graduate qualification in a physical science or engineering subject.
You should have practical research or R&D experience involving the design, in-depth knowledge or development of scientific instrumentation.
Preferred skills would be in vacuum technology, optics and spectroscopy, light detection, software testing and scripting, EM techniques, cryogenics and electronics.
You will need to provide technical leadership and should be able to understand and review mechanical engineering designs and preferably also electronic layouts.
Occasional travel to support customers or service teams 'on-site' will be required.
