Our Client is a specialist electronics company, which manufactures electronic control equipment and associated sub-systems for the fire, safety and general control markets. Its products are sold mainly to the major installation companies for large building projects. Within its specialist original equipment sector the company has at this stage a relatively small market share, however because of the lack of good quality UK competition, there is currently an exciting opportunity to become a significant player for the right company with the right approach. Our Client is this company.
- Our Client wants someone who can in the first instance communicate with the sales team and their end client to identify and qualify their individual product requirements.
- You should then be able to prepare a written specification and if necessary supporting drawings & wiring diagrams for approval prior to any development/assembly.
- You will need both electrical and mechanical design skills for interconnection of circuit cards and for enclosure/panel design.
- You must have the ability and have a proven track record to project manage, and do any necessary assembly of the product while liaising directly with other members of the production team for allocation of resources, the suppliers and if necessary the engineering team for any special circuits/software if required
- Must be self motivated
- Must have the ability to direct support team and work unsupervised
- Must be prepared to travel to client's / suppliers premises (UK) if required.
- It would be a significant advantage if you had worked in a similar safety critical industry following ISO9000 procedures. However your track record could be in any industry (i.e. Telecommunications, IT hardware, BMS & control) provided you can adapt.
