We have opportunities in Scotland and the North East for Design Engineers able to assume the role of technical authority with responsibility for the design and development of passive microwave components for both commercial and military applications.
Main responsibilities for these positions will include:
Design and develop ferrite based microwave components to meet internal and external customer requirements
Work in conjunction with customers to generate cost-effective, reliable designs for volume manufacture
Develop and apply continuous improvement to the Engineering Role through development of additional skills as agreed with Engineering Manager
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
Minimum 2.1 honours degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Solid understanding of fundamental RF/microwave design principles and techniques
Knowledge and experience of microwave design software
Ability to setup and use industry standard measurement equipment
Analytical thinking and excellent mathematical skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work within a team
Ability to travel in support of customer and supplier visits
