Due to an increase in long term work we are looking to employ on a permanent basis a engineer who primarily would take customer design ideas turn them into virtual CAD models and then be responsible using CAM to manufacture the moulds using our CNC milling machines.
Preferred skills /experiences would be:
Has worked in the aluminum foundry environment, Die making company or possibly plastic moulding environment. Preferably has gone through a formal engineering apprentice program rather than be graduate trained. Ideally you will have 'more hands' on knowledge rather than be totally theory based. 3D Modelling CAD skills. Solid Works if possible. working from customer supplied component drawings turning them into castable components. C.A.M. experience in producing moulds WorkNC or Delcam. In addition it would be helpful if you have experience in designing holding fixtures for machining batches of aluminum castings on CNC machining centres. Be able to communicate with customers and suppliers to discuss technical issues in a professional manner.
