CAD Design Engineer - Mechanical Design
York

Our client is the leading brand name in the equipment housing sector, an exclusive supplier to FTSE 100 companies and a division of a substantial parent company, widely recognised as an employer of choice. They are looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer.
Due to growth and new product introduction, the mechanical engineering team currently requires additional support managing new clients.
You will contribute both project engineering and mechanical design experience, taking products from initial client specifications through to manufacturing drawings including bill of materials. You must demonstrate experience of:
* Managing and understanding client expectations.
* Strong design experience using AutoCAD, Inventor 3D software or similar.
* Design and drafting experience for component fabrication and sheet welding manufacture.
* Structural engineering and or mechanical/thermal enclosures experience.
Ideally, you will be educated to degree level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering and able to contribute to product developments with an innovative, creative and practical mindset.
