My client is the fastest growing Facilities Management company in the UK , employing some 8,000 people with an impressive portfolio of clients including a major UK retailer.
We are looking for a Workshop Engineer to join my client's business.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking for career advancement within a dynamic businss environment.
Requirements:
- Candidate will come from an engineering background
- Will be familiar with workshop processes ( see below )
- Will have a background in CCTV and general electronic repair
- Will preferably have an electronics qualification e.g. OND or HNC.
Workshop Processes:
- receive faulty units from the field via the stores and either repair or send out for repair, dependent on the type of equipment
- build a database on computer to record items received and despatched
- liase with external repairers to ascertain status of items sent for repair
- liase with clients to ensure minimum stocks on agreed items are maintained
- escalate to line manager when required to highlight issues of misuse, generic faults and individual items which have repeated failures
- liase with field engineers who require help, information on parts
- keep stock of spare components to enable repair activity
- advise line manager of requirements to ensure correct operations of workshop
- produce weekly report of items received and repaired
This exciting position in based in the North West and comes with an annual salary of between GBP20k-GBP22k 25 days holiday pension.
