Essential Person Requirements:
- Good communication skills
- Minimum 3 years experience in the highways and traffic engineering environment
- HNC in Civil Engineering or similar discipline that demonstrates numerical, analytical and technical skills
- Knowledge/understanding of the latest deisgn guides and best practices documentation related to highways infrastructure works
- Current driving licence
- Good computer skills
Desirable Person Requirements:
- Knowledge/understanding Moss MX
- Ability to collate and investigate/analyse various data, i.e. pedestrian, speed, accident etc
- Ability to focus on the deisgn and delivery of highways projects
- Experience in dealing with Elected Members and the Public
- Contract Document Preparation and Tender Processes
Job description / responsibilities: You wil be a key player within the project teams responsible for works that include:
- Investigation, feasibility, design and contract preparation
- Types of projects can include cycleways, traffic calming, traffic management, Junction improvements, town centre enhancements, SRTS, Traffic signals and minor improvements
- Preparation of reports
- You will take keen interest in team work and assist local ownership of schemes and enhance public relations through exhibitions and presentations
