Software contractor to work on the development of short range wireless products, including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and ZigBee. You will be required to implement the PC based test platform that will be used for development and regression testing and customer demonstrations. Your duties will include working with the product designers to develop a test plan; architecting a solution to implement the test plan – this is likely to consist of a number of PCs wirelessly interconnected with test programs running on each to simulate user scenarios; developing the PC based software needed to run the tests and commissioning the completed test system and working with the team to modify and enhance as the development continues. You must have a good knowledge of C / C and programming in the Windows environment using Visual Studio; a thorough understanding of Windows hardware and networking; a knowledge of commercial software test products and best practice in software test and ideally an understanding of communications protocols and serial interfaces, to include the TCP/IP, AT command protocol and RS-232 communications and experience of developing and testing software for real time embedded systems. This is a 6 month contract and is based in north west London.
