EDGE / Layer 1 Senior Software Engineer to work on GSM / GPRS / UMTS (Dual Mode) mobile phone. Must have good analytical and software problem solving skills. You will be required to develop, integrate, test the EGDE features on a target environment. You will be involved in all aspects of the upgrade of the software to support the EDGE protocols. You must have: a degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Mathematics or related (or equivalent period of industrial experience); 3 years exp. in software development of embedded real-time systems or comms protocols; experience in C / C and real time software debugging techniques. Experience of Mobile Telecoms / Data-comms Protocols, RTOSs or ARM desirable. Preference given to candidates with 'A' level maths grade A or B and experience in designing and developing GSM, GPRS or UMTS systems. Permanent position. Salary according to ability.
