Senior Hardware Engineer - To design, develop, document, verify and provide production help for mobile communication hardware baseband products from initial system level specification to mass production. You may be responsible for a 2 junior engineers. Write appropriate software to verify hardware functions. Assist in identifying staff training, recruitment and development needs. Become a technical authority in one or more specialist areas. Keep abreast of new developments and techniques. Progress reports submission. Advise regarding business directives and corporate philosophies on future strategy. You must have:- A good degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related discipline; 5 years in microprocessor / controller and DSP circuit design; 3 years software design in embedded real time systems; excellent understanding of mobile handset design (modulation / demodulation, channel coding / decoding, signal processing); GSM, GPRS and UMTS. A good understanding of documentation requirements. This is a permanent role with salaries according to experience. Located in Middlesex.
