GSM Software Engineer / Senior Software Engineer)to work on GSM / GPRS / UMTS Layer 2 protocols (Dual Mode), develop, integrate and system test the (3G) features. Responsible for upgrading / optimising the protocols. You will need good analytical and software problem solving skills with an ability to learn in a 'hands-on' manner and by reading standards. Work on-site in our laboratory facility with some travel (perhaps abroad). You must have: A good degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Mathematics, Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent period of industrial experience); 2 - 5 years (dependent on position) embedded real-time systems or communications protocols; C / C . Desirable: Mobile Telecoms Protocols, Data-communications Protocols, RTOS or ARM. Candidates having 'A' level maths grades A or B, or with previous experience designing, developing or testing GSM, GPRS or UMTS systems preferred. Permanent with salaries according to experience. Located in Middlesex.
