3G Senior Standards Engineer - working as a standards team member to provide expert support to the standards activities and technology development in the Baseband, Radio Resource Management and RF areas. Working as the main delegate in RAN WG4 to improve the profile and reputation through contributing to specifications development. Resolve RAN1 / RAN4 standards issues. Specify, build and simulate performance of new 3GPP air interface technologies / techniques. You must have:- a good degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related discipline; 4 years post grad. mobile comms physical layer engineering in a standards, research, design capacity; Experience of:- UMTS baseband, physics of RF design / implementation, physical layer simulations using UMTS link / system or RF utilising C, C , or MATLAB. Effective communicator to present complex ideas to large groups. Ability to write well structured, accurate, complete technical documentation. Permanent role. Salary according to ability.
