TECHNICAL MANAGER
An outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated and capable engineer in a fast moving technology
Our client is part of a US$1.2B group. It is a small exciting company designing, manufacturing and marketing industrial X-ray systems for product inspection mostly for the food and pharmaceutical manufacturing industries. Based in a brand new facility in Royston, Hertfordshire, the company is expanding its team to cope with fast growth in demand from our blue-chip customer base.
An energetic Technical Manager is required to take charge of the product and application development process and technical strategy. This key role requires a ‘hands-on’ approach and will include customer contact and international travel.
JOB REQUIREMENT
•Implementation and control of product design process
•Management of a team of engineers and applications developers
•Manage the development of new product designs
•Contribute to product strategy and definition
REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES:
•Good degree in engineering or physical science
•Sound knowledge and experience of software for both embedded systems and PC’s for industrial applications
•Experience of digital electronics design including CPLDs
•Ability to lead a small dynamic development team
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
•Familiarity with digital image or signal processing
•.Net Delphi, C, assembler code, PLC
•Lattice CPLD’s
•ORCAD/Abel Schematic and PCB layout.
