The Client are at the forefront of creating products and systems for the delivery of high quality live video and on-demand content across cable, DSL, fibre, IP, satellite and terrestrial networks. Due to increased successful activity in this area they are now looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to work as part of a team on the design and implementation of these products and services.
For this role the main tasks include the development and enhancement of embedded software (using C/C++ for RTOS e.g. VxWorks or Nucleus) in which you should have at least 2+ years post-graduate working in this field, ideally using the PowerPC platform. All stages of the product design life cycle will require documentation in accordance with the Company standards and methodologies.
You should hold a good degree in Electronics Engineering (as a basic understanding of hardware principles is important), or equivalent, with a high software content. Any knowledge of digital audio and video standards and techniques would certainly play in your favour.
