Subsystems Verification Engineer, Devon, optical, electronic, C#, VB
The succesful candidate will be responsible for verifying a subsystems product feature list and robustness according to written product specification.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Estimating test effort. Creation of test and verification plans for optical subsystems group. Execution of test cases.
Needs to work closely with hardware and software engineers in order to find roots of any anomalies in test results.
Creating test reports.
Understanding software and hardware functionality of subsystems products.
JOB CHALLENGES:
Timely creation of verification estimates. Ensuring maximum exposure of feature testing. Needs to understand a variety of network technologies and have a broad multidisciplinary knowledge.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Knowledge of Telco equipment - amplifiers, DWDM, ADMs, combiners, routers. Scripting languages - Tcl, Expect.
Knowledge of telecom protocols SONET/SDH, IP, TL-1, SNMP.
Experience using network analysers and test sets - W&G ANT, Anritsu , HP.
Configuration Management experience - Clearcase, CVS.
Problem tracking tools: Bugzilla or similar.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent
PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS :
Good analytical skills, ability to work in teams.
