Materials Manufacture and Testing Team Leader
Leading supplier of ceramic cores used in the investment casting industry have a vacancy for a qualified and experienced Materials Manufacture and Testing Team Leader to manage their materials testing laboratory.
The role:
Day to day management of the company’s materials testing laboratory including:
- Supervision of Laboratory staff including recruitment and personal development.
- Control of Quality Assurance and COSHH.
- Management of laboratory equipment – purchasing, servicing and calibration.
- Liaising with other departments, external companies and customers on all materials, management and testing issues.
The candidate:
- Experience of Technical Laboratory management within a materials environment.
- Experience of materials testing (mechanical and chemical) equipment and techniques.
- Experienced in team management and leadership.
- Technical education, ideally in a materials science subject.
- Knowledge of investment casting process and core making process a big benefit.
Terms:
Initial fixed term contract till end of 2004 followed by permanent position for right candidate.
