Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Northampton
My client based in Northampton supplier of truck and trailer air suspensions for the Commercial Vehicle Industry.
They are currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for their site in Northampton for an ongoing contract position.
The role will be to prepare and issue designs, drawings, specifications and parts lists to support production programmes and new product development plans. Main duties will include; creating general arrangement drawings using Solidworks, carrying out installation checks, reviews and calculations for each design, part numbers and assembly structures for input into Bills of Materials (BoM's) and assisting the warranty department with evaluation of failures and ensure no known problems are carried over into new designs.
Candidates will have a BSc or HND in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering, strong CAD and FEA skills and ability to carry out complex engineering calculations and experience in the Commercial Vehicle (or related) industry would be a great advantage.
