Instrument Software Engineer

My client is a sucessful spin out developing ground breaking new product and is already offering its expertise in processing and interpretation of gravity gradiometry to oil and mineral clients.
Currently they are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to provide expert analysis and algorithm/software development in a wide range of activities all involved in getting the best performance out of their product in the lab (static, on a shaker) and in the air. You will be required to provide services as defined above for all instrumentation on the plane with a view to using the outputs both for their own ends.
Some of the key resposibilities are to design, develop and test software to control and handle the instruments, systems, electronics and data, design, develop and test algorithms and software for analysis of data from the instrumentation employed on the plane or on the ground to ensure best possible values are obtained for all outputs from it.
You must be qualified to degree level with a Science degree with a strong Mathematical element and have 5-10 years in software development in low noise instrumentation - preferably in a commercial environment with experience in Adaptive filtering, Noise reduction, Signal processing, Low temperature instrumentation and experience in low magnetic field environment
Good strong C, C++ development experiece is essential ideally with a control engineering background with knowlege of Kalman filters, Fourier analysis, wavelet analysis,
