My client is currently looking for a 1st class Chief Engineer with Food Manufacturing experience within a high speed packaging environment. They a highly successful and expanding manufacturer based in the East Anglia area, supplying the majority of the leading supermarket multiples with quality focussed produce.
They now require an enthusiastic and results driven experienced Engineering Manager or Maintenance Manager to takeover the running of the Engineering function and manage a team of Engineers who through effective teamwork will drive improvements, enhance efficiencies and challenge existing standards throughout the production process.
Operating within a demanding environment you will motivate and direct a sizeable team with a key focus on maximising machine uptime and performance, looking at minimising changeover/downtime and breakdown through PPM/SMED and other maintenance strategies. Another important focus will be advising on future capital and resource investment. With total responsibility for managing and overseeing all Capex Projects, for which you will have full budgetary responsibility alongside your Engineering and Maintenance budget.
Qualified to HND/degree level or having worked through an indentured apprenticeship, you should have a proven track record as an Engineering or Maintenance Manager with experience of managing teams within a fast paced production facility and can demonstrate a proven track record of meeting objectives, exceeding KPIs and initiating changes which have taken the business forward.
