Principal Hardware Engineer

As the global leader in diamond sorting, this Client currently sorts and values around two thirds of the World's annual supply of rough diamonds. This employs the use of cutting edge technology coupled with unparalleled experience. For over 20 years the core activity of the Research Centre at this Company has been the design and manufacture of machines for the sorting, weighing, and valuing of these gems into their respective categories.
They are now seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the instrumentation projects in both terms of hardware and embedded software. You should be experienced in working with microprocessors/controllers and writing embedded software (in C or Assembler), as well as developing FPGA and PLD based designs. It is also imperative that you are familiar with designing for EMC related standards and have been involved in pre-compliance and Safety testing. It is preferable to hold a degree in Electronics Engineering (or related) and have 10 years industrial design experience.
