Technical Support Engineers, Lancs, electrical, electronics, hardware, profibus, modbus, plc, atex, dsear, process automation
To provide first line technical support to Customers, Technical Partners and colleagues.
Requires the ability to read and interpret technical information and specifications.
The individual must be prepared to offer flexibility and support to a number of different products, environments and scenarios.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the Companies and Competitors products and solutions.
Candidates should, be qualified to HNC/HND standard (or equivalent) and possess a sound basic knowledge of electrical/electronic hardware.
Good communication skills (written and verbal) with an understanding, friendly and polite telephone manner towards the Customers, Technical Partners and colleagues
Good organisational skills with the ability to withstand customer demands and schedules.
A good level of computer knowledge and experience.
A driving licence would be an advantage, as occasional visits to customers may be required.
It would be advantageous if you had experience of any of the following:
Knowledge of bus systems, profibus/modbus or plc basics.
Knowledge of relevant legislation (ATEX, DSEAR).
Experience in the industrial environment, particularly in the Process Automation Industry.
