Our client is a global leader in the manufacture of high technology superalloy and titanium based aerospace forgings and castings. Due to continued growth and expansion, they have developed a new seamless ring and casings facility in Mexico, South America.
To continue the development of the facility into a world class operation, they seek an experienced metallurgist to act as an internal consultant to the plant. The role can either be a fixed term contract position (around 2 years in length – negotiable) or a permanent position.
The role:
- To provide strategic guidance to operational and manufacturing issues.
- To provide direct knowledge to operational, metallurgical and manufacturing issues.
- To help train staff in best practice, quality /operational and manufacturing procedures.
- To act as an internal Metallurgical / Operational Consultant to the plant, able to contribute to any metallurgical and operational issues that may arise.
- To help promote best practice procedures within the plant.
The candidate:
- Educated to degree level in metallurgy or related subject – further related qualifications are a benefit.
- At least 5 years experience in an aerospace ring rolling facility involved with metallurgical and operational issues.
- Excellent understanding of superalloy, nickel alloy and titanium metallurgy.
- Excellent understanding of ring rolling manufacturing processes.
Languages:
- Excellent English language skills – written and spoken
- Spanish, German or French language skills would be a big benefit.
The Benefits:
- Excellent basic salary around $75,000 and $100,000 negotiable (equivalent up to GBP55,000).

- Negotiable working hours (ideally around 40 per week).
