Our client, a fabless start-up is looking for an individual to represent them commercially in all relevant industry/standards bodies. Hence you will need a technical degree with at least 5 years experience with some of this in either a sales, marketing, or a standardisation role. Previous exposure to either the ETSI/IEEE would be beneficial. It's likely you will have some semiconductor or consumer electronics experience e.g multimedia
Our client is working within an arena where there are currently no industry standards. Hence they are looking for an individual to represent them commercially in all relevant industry/standards bodies. You primary goal will be to effectively represent our client's views, ensuring acceptance where possible. You will also take ownership for making our client aware of all issues that could impact their business model. This will require building and maintaining relationships with all voting members of these bodies ensuring that you become a focal point for advice and feedback. You will work with the VP of Marketing ensuring no standards are introduced with our client's knowledge.
You should be able to sell technical concepts and previous exposure to either the ETSI/IEEE would be beneficial. It's likely you will have some semiconductor or consumer electronics experience.
This is a critical role in our client's organisation which will help ensure that their business model and product roadmap align with market developments.
