My client in Fife is looking to recruit manufacturing process engineers. These roles are commutable from Dunfermline, Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy, Alloa.
This company is a global leader in the design, development and manufacture of wireless infrastructure and antenna solutions for the communications industry.
Your key role will be to improve the transmission of products to manufacture and improve all aspects of the process for remote manufacturing.
You will take the products into manufacture as efficiently as possible, creating process maps and flows & assembly drawings and diagrams, making materials choices and working to get consistent, quality manufacture across all sites.
It would be of particular interest if you had experience of areas such as: casting (Sand / Low / High Pressure Die casting), material forming (Pressing / Spinning), metal fabrication (stamping / Punching / Welding), chemicals (Pre Treatment for Aluminium / Brass / Copper), Powder Painting.
Transferable skills of interest include: lean techniques, six sigma, SMED, FMEA, DFMA, project management, SAP, solidworks.
There will be an element of travel in these roles, especially in the early stages as you develop relationships with remote sites - excellent communication skills are important.
