Our client is developing IP which will significantly enhance SoC functionality, addressing some of the fundamental multi core challenges SoC designers currently face. They have already generated significant commercial momentum: their initial funding round has just been confirmed, and they have a blue chip customer which is lending support in terms of EDA tools and manpower. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with an excellent academic record (1st or 2:1 from red brick university) and experience of embedded software development of communications stacks. In addition you will have ported Real-Time OSs onto various platforms and processors with an understanding of their internal mechanisms and multitasking application design constraints. You should be familiar with hardware design features and limitations, possibly gained in a related degree. Use of structured development processes essential, but with a clear view on how to make such processes add to and not subtract from productivity.
