<p>Our client is a leading edge, medium sized company making solid profits!! They are a world leader in the development of power management, audio and more recently imaging semiconductor technology.
<p>Due to their continued success within the wireless and automotive field they are investing in new development areas, namely Imaging technology. With new and innovative products already released they want to further strengthen and expand this part of the business.
<p>To fuel this growth they have an immediate requirement for an Imaging System Engineer.
<p>Description:A team working on state of the art camera on a chip technology is seeking an experienced vision system development engineer. The qualified candidate will develop innovative imaging system architectures to client and market specifications. By performing electro optical modeling and performance estimation, you will work with an experienced ASIC and camera module design team to implement your leading edge vision system architectures. Modules typically consist of lens/optics, housings, imaging ASICs, PCB and connectors for portable, automotive, and consumer imaging applications.
<p>Responsibilities:
<li>Develop technical specifications based on required operating modes and conditions determined by both market and client requirements.
<li>Perform electro optic, thermal and mechanical modeling and estimation for full optical path from light source to output processed signal.
<li>Work with Mechanical design team to provide innovative solutions meeting packaging space and environmental constraints.
<li>Work with clients to understand, meet and exceed their technical needs.
<li>Assist operations group in production and sourcing issues.
<li>Execute on multiple concurrent designs and test structure developments.
<p>Skills required:
<li>Candidates will ideally have a minimum of 10 years experience in a product development group performing as an Electro optic system engineer.<li>Zemax, CodeV, Cadence, MathCAD and AutoCAD experience preferred.<li>Knowledge of current rapid prototyping methods.<li>MSEE required.<li>Demonstrated innovation in leading edge vision systems and IP generation.<li>Good verbal and written English is required.<p>Excellent salary and benefit packages, including profit-based bonus and share options await the right individuals
