Our client is the leading UK system integrator for solutions based on Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technologies, which are already revolutionizing many areas of business where bar codes have previously dominated. Part of the £1.2 billion LINPAC Group, our client has already secured the world’s largest contract for the roll-out of RFID technology in the retail supply chain. To support our aggressive growth, we are looking for an experienced Senior Electronics Design Engineer to assume responsibility for all electronic design and development activities across the Company This is a demanding position that will require in-depth understanding of both analogue and digital electronic design and development. Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years experience of electronic design and development, preferably in control or instrumentation applications. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES •Responsible for the design and development of all electronics based systems within the Company. •Working with Software Engineers and Mechanical Design Engineers to design and develop cost effective, practical, system solutions for customers. •Responsible for all testing to BS/EN requirements to meet CE approval on all products. •Ensuring that all designs meet agreed time and cost budgets. KEY SKILLS •Graduate in Electronic Engineering with 5+ years experience of electronics design and development. •Experienced designer with analogue and digital electronics, preferably in instrumentation or control applications. •Practical experience of CE type approval requirements and testing for electronic systems. •Good all round appreciation of mechanics and software design and development, and overall system integration. •Team player, well organised, communicative, determined to succeed but can work on own initiative. •PC/Office literate. •Knowledge of RFID would be desirable, but training given.
