Our UK based client has immediate requirements for over 30 software, DSP and test engineers, opportunities exist from junior engineer through to team lead / manager. Their software group is responsible for developing Layers 1, 2 and 3 of the Air Interface for a Dual Mode (i.e. GSM/GPRS/UMTS) 3rd Generation Mobile terminal. You will have experience of real time and/or embedded software development and strong C/C++ programming skills in a structured development environment. Experience in any of the following is desirable but not essential: Mobile Telecoms Protocols, RTOS, ARM Microprocessors, Device drivers (ISRs). Preference will be given to candidates who have experience designing and developing GSM, GPRS or UMTS systems. For their System Test engineering and team lead roles a background in system, integration or conformance testing, ideally in a communications environment with ability to code in TTCN is required.
