Development Engineer, Hants, micros, embedded, assembler, C, analog, digital, sensors, physics, optical
My client are looking for an engineer to join their Product Development team. You will be working in a project-based environment designing products for high-volume manufacture. The role will include design and evaluation of new products to the requirements of our ISO9001 system. This will include detector sensor design, analogue and digital circuit design and EMC evaluation.
Main duties include:
Robust design of low cost electronic circuits for high volume manufacture.
Efficient and error-free programming of low-end microcontrollers.
Evaluate & introduce new technologies where appropriate
Other duties may include:
Design of optical systems and calibration of detectors.
Analysis of airflow entry to optimise detector design.
Design of robust high efficiency acoustic cavities for use in sounder products.
Design and test of voice alarm system components.
Applicants should possess:
A Degree in Electronics or equivalent experience and good electronics skills.
It will be an advantage if applicants have experience of:
Optical system design and evaluation experience - ideally using Lumex VOB.
Acoustic design.
Very low power analogue and digital circuit design.
Embedded systems programming in assembler and C.
