Support Engineers, Sussex Coast, networks, SQL, Access, electronics, TCP/IP, DNS, VLAN, LAN/WAN, Windows
Responsibilities:
Visit problem sites when required to assist in resolving any ongoing issues.
Provide site commissioning service as required.
Assist with the development of the testing room and associated equipment.
Assist senior support with ongoing high priority site issues.
Test and resolve bugs and issues with no known resolution.
Writing & verifying detailed technical entries for the company knowledge base.
You should have a number of skills from the list below:
Advanced IT and networking skills.
An understanding of SQL and Access.
Proven experience with TCP/IP, DNS, VLAN, LAN/WAN, Firewall, Anti-virus.
Know your way around the following operating systems; Windows XP, Vista, 2000SE, 2003
Telephone support experience.
Good communication skills and customer service focus.
Qualifications:
A degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
You will above all need to be an excellent communicator. You will be relied upon to think logically and solve customer issues through telephone support or occasionally travelling to a customer?s site. You will have excellent customer service skills and be able to handle difficult situations in a calm and collected manner. Your day will typically involve assisting with high priority sites listed on internal tracking system with an aim to providing a resolution. You will need to be confident in understanding and supporting both hardware and software products plus able to have a good working knowledge of networks and client installations.
