Our client is a leading developer of high-performance products fo video equipment and systems manufacturers. Applications include broadcast television studios, and production / post-production houses for video / film content creation and display. Due to recent design success and a surge in customer demand, they are now seeking a technical applications engineer to support the design in of their ICs into customers products. The successful candidate will have strong electronics / board level / systems design skills from within the multimedia arena, ideally with experience from the broadcast industry. Format conversion experience would be ideal, however is by no means essential. The key is the intellectual capacity to move into this area and understand the salient technical challenges. The role will involve some travel and customer contact (perhaps 30%), primarily in the UK. This would suit a design engineer seeking to keep a high level of technical contact in his/her role, while also being exposed to a variety of customers. Remuneration will include salary based on experience, plus car and good benefits package.
